ABOUT US
Empowered Circle was established in mid-2021, originating as the Healthy Children Program (HCHP), an initiative founded by Afghan entrepreneurs Aziza Akrami and Mursal with support from the Blossom Hill Foundation. Initially designed to reach 800 people, it quickly became a vital source of healthcare for thousands. The collapse of Afghanistan’s government further devastated an already fragile health system. Clinics shut down, women were barred from medical education, and female health professionals were forced out, leaving women and children without essential care.
Despite severe restrictions and personal risks, our team expanded its mission. Today, Empowered Circle provides:
-
Free primary medical care for vulnerable women and children
-
Localised health education and awareness programs on hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention
-
Psychosocial support for women coping with trauma
-
Training and opportunities for women to become health workers and community leaders
Through mobile clinics, health education, and now digital consultations, we strive to restore dignity, build resilience, and bring life-saving care to those who need it most. Empowered Circle is more than a healthcare provider; it is a movement for equity, compassion, and lasting empowerment
Our Mission
We empower Afghan women and children by providing accessible primary healthcare, health education, and community support.
Our Vision
A world where every woman and child no matter of their geography, background, or circumstance can access the care, knowledge, and support she needs to live with health, confidence, and dignity.
Our Values
Our core values are: Empowerment, Compassion, and Innovation with Purpose. We approach every life with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and respect.
